Islam Elfiky has made MedsNow the central focus of his recent entrepreneurial work. Since 2020, he has served as Co-Founder and Head of Business Development at the healthcare technology startup. The company was created to help independent pharmacies compete in a digital marketplace where larger chains often have stronger technology systems. MedsNow provides independent pharmacies with tools that support online sales, compliance and regulatory requirements, patient onboarding, invoicing, payment collection, and receivables management. Through stronger analytics and digital processes, the platform helps pharmacies improve daily operations while maintaining their role within local communities. The company gained early recognition after being selected for XRC Labs’ Cohort 14. Through the program, MedsNow gained access to mentors, retail partners, and accelerator resources. The company also presented at XRC Ventures’ 2023 Demo Day and received support from the XRC Ventures Accelerator Program and Reshape Ventures. Developing the company has required strong communication, careful planning, and the ability to adapt to challenges.
